The Commodity of Time

Time.  We all have time.  You have your time.  I have my time.  We all have the same amount of time in a day.  Time is a commodity.  It is there for you to spend.

Do you truly understand the value of YOUR time?

Your time is valuable.  You know how you can tell?  It’s the same way Apple can tell if their new phone is valuable.  You measure demand.

How many people are asking for your time?  How many people seem like they are TAKING your time?  I’ve got news for you…..no one can take your time from you without your consent.

Are you giving it away?

How many times have you thought to yourself….”Boy, I wish I had time for that.”  I have good news…you DO have time for that!  Now that’s easy to say and harder to execute, right?  There are choices that have to be made.  But let’s get real here….

You own your time.

The Happy Life – Daydream Time

You can spend it any way you want but YOU own it.  No one has the power to dictate how your time gets spent.  It may seem like there are all kinds of people who dictate how your time is spent, of course.  Bosses, spouses, children, friends, family, etc.   In every one of these cases you are selling the commodity of your time to another person or organization.  You are INVESTING your time…..knowingly or not.

Now you know.  Give this some thought.  Are you getting the return you want on the investment of your time?  What’s important to you?  Forget I asked that question.  Don’t tell me what is important to you.   Tell me how you spend your time….

…and I’ll tell YOU what is important to you.
